Back when the third lockdown restrictions begun to ease in the UK last April I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing quite a few mums to be. I met Jordana for a golden hour maternity photoshoot in Dunham Massey Deer Park, outside Altrincham, Cheshire. I absolutely love it when the client is up for using some props too!
Deciding on a maternity photoshoot can be a tough decision for expecting mums. Your body is going through immense change and you may feel self conscious to show a bump, tired, not yourself. However, this is a moment just for you and your baby, to remember what your body did and what it achieved. It feels like a lifetime but looking back it is such a small yet magical moment in your life that I would always recommend documenting it in some way.
I am truly gutted I never had professional images of my two being carried around in my tummy. Even though I’ve been through this process myself I am eternally fascinated by the female body and how it copes, adapts and the resilience it shows. Yet, there is something so graceful and poised about it all…
If you’re interested I would suggest booking in around 28-34 weeks, but each pregnancy is slightly different so we can always chat through options ahead of time. I have a few favourite locations around Manchester/Cheshire and I have a variety of dresses available to hire at no extra cost which are suitable for all sizes and bumps. I also offer a bump to baby package for a discounted rate.
If you’re interested or still unsure I’m always available for a chat or text.
