Boxing Day Baby Turns Six.
Boxing Day 2020 my eldest turns 6. Its a cliche but I don’t know how this happened (feels quick and long at the same time). My parents used to say to me that they would have to put a brick on my head to stop me from growing so fast. This sounds awful now but it was meant with affection (hoping) as I was tall and kept growing out of things. I feel the same about my own kids. Im torn between experiencing the next chapter and keeping them little. Another over used saying but this year really has been bizarre and crazy in so many ways yet at the same time there has been some wonderful moments I’ll never forget. Teaching my eldest to ride her bike without stabalisers has been a standout moment for me. The upside of the working from home/kids off school balancing act meant I got to go on one walk a day, quality time well spent. Each day she grew more confident until I didn’t need to hold the back anymore. I’d always felt I’d missed quite a few of these moments with both my kids in nursery over the years so happy I managed to capture this milestone.
